The Blogger
I am the very proud mommy of one little munchkin with another on the way living in the Midwest. I am absolutely in love with doing the mom thing and, after I had my first daughter in March of 2009, worked very hard with my husband to find a way to to be able to to do it full time. It took a while, but as of September 1, 2010, I officially left the working world and became a stay-at-home-mom.
You can check out the full story here in my first post and here when I achieved my goal. Now I’m just trying to navigate this whole world of parenthood and domestic life as our family grows while trying as much as possible to live in the MOMent of every day.
The Blog
As hinted by the name, this blog chronicles my experiences doing the mom thing. I plan to use it to hold myself accountable and to tell my stories as a mom that I hope are relatable to other moms. I promise to be real and to share not only my (hoped-for) success, but my failures and everything in between. Regardless of what happens, I hope Doing the Mom Thing entertains, informs, and maybe even inspires. I’m sure I’m not alone in my quest, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
